Strengthening Rural Nebraska's Broadband

Gettin' It Done for All Nebraskans!

Hello Fellow Nebraskans!

I reaffirm my pledge; I will address all of your concerns and work hard to bring much needed funding to the 5th District and make Accountability Priority Number 1.

"Delivering Results"  2024 has been very successful for the 5th District.

Over $500,000.00 of the first ever $1,000,000.00 Precision Ag grant is being distributed across District 5.

21 of the 28, 2024 Capital Improvement grants totaling $20,806,731.77 have been awarded to Telecom Companies in District 5, expanding broadband to the Unserved and Underserved areas. Communication and Cooperation with LOCAL Nebraska telecom companies has been very beneficial. All totaled, over $45,000,000.00 of investment into District 5 since I took office in January of 2023.

Many of the rural customers of Western Nebraska who have had poor or no landline service have had their telephone service restored. If you're having problems, don't hesitate to contact me personally.

I fought and worked hard to get the long vacant Rail Inspectors jobs filled. This is getting done. I'm pushing for a complete review of the Public Transportation Rules to ensure Nebraskans are getting into a safe vehicle driven by people who have passed background inspections.

The Passenger transportation division is actively investigating and issuing citations to illegal operators within the State. If you know of an illegal operator who is transporting passengers for hire, please contact me or my office.

The 911 call centers across Nebraska are receiving much needed additional funding for modernization to match the current technology utilized. The outages that occurred have been investigated and are being corrected with the cooperation of the telecom companies involved.

I'm sincere when I say thank you to the voters who trusted me with your vote. Since being elected, I continue to travel across the 51 Counties of District 5, meeting and listening to concerns you may have.
